Emma is the ruler of the universe here. She doesn’t know it is a job or she wouldn’t be doing it! Emma never intends to work for a living. She had a short show career and hated it. We stopped showing her after about 12 shows due to lameness. However, Emma stopped before then as she saw being a runway model as “a job”.

Emma is a beautiful Frenchie. At age 5 months we noticed a popping in the left hip when we would pick her up. She didn’t seem to be in pain. The Vet felt it was an injury while playing and within a week or two, no more popping. However, two months later while at a show, I felt the pop again. This time she didn’t seem to move correctly with drive in the left rear. X-rays sent to OFA showed moderate hip displasia. She was having pain during this time and placed on medication. We sought the opinion of a specialist. Surgery to remove the head of each femur was recommended to make her comfortable. She was under a year old when surgery was done. She was walking within 24 hours. Six weeks later she was spayed.

She is one healthy happy, playful boss now. No medication and can cover ground fast—-you should see her chase a chicken!

Emma has our heart and will live we hope a long life with us—ruling us completely.
