About Us

Twin Key French Bulldogs is based in Amarillo, Texas – about 250 miles west of Oklahoma City and 250 miles east of Albuquerque, NM. We’re right in the Panhandle of Texas.
I am a registered nurse, and have been married 30 years. Throughout my life, I’ve always loved dogs, and I got into the “dog fancy” in the early 80’s. I visited a local dog show, where I met an was fascinated with the Alaskan Malamute. I wanted to learn more about them, and I eventually ended up showing and breeding them up until 2002. During that time, I home bred 25 AKC champion Alaskan Malamutes. I also worked some in obedience with Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs and when they became an AKC breed in 1995, we finished 5 GSMD’s.
Now I’m enjoying showing “wash and wear” breeds – Boston Terriers and French Bulldogs. Now that I am retired, I feel comfortable having a house breed, and I enjoy the personality of these two breeds.
My personal introduction to French Bulldogs came through a friend who had health issues and needed some help in training a wonderful French Bulldog for the show ring. “Buster” was a young male, and his breeder Linda Moore mentored me about the breed.
In 2007 I went to my first French Bulldog National and was hooked completely on this breed. I began looking for a show quality Frenchie of my own, and purchased one in Oct. of 2007. Emma is and was a beautiful Frenchie. Unfortunately, she developed hip dysplasia and required surgery on both hips to relieve her pain. She is now spayed and a wonderful house pet that will live her life with us.
My goals are to learn and enjoy the breed, and to help to edducate the public about French Bulldogs as much as I can. I am a strong proponent of health testing, and encourage people to take advantage of it so that we can all attempt to gain knowledge of how to improve our breed.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. In the near future, we’ll be adding a show calendar so that you can find out what shows we are planning to attend. We encourage you to come and find us there so that you can meet our dogs, and “Talk Frenchies” with us.
